Kathmandu Pokhara Special
Experience the vibrant culture, ancient heritage, and breathtaking natural beauty of Nepal in this unforgettable 4-night journey. Explore the bustling streets and sacred temples of Kathmandu before soaking in the serene landscapes of Pokhara, nestled beneath the majestic Annapurna range.
Your journey begins with your arrival in Kathmandu, the cultural heart of Nepal. Upon landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel. After checking in, you’ll have time to relax or take a casual walk around the lively Thamel area, known for its shops, cafes, and traditional Nepalese charm. The evening is yours to rest and prepare for the exciting days ahead.
After breakfast, embark on a full-day guided tour of Kathmandu’s most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Your first stop is Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, offering panoramic views of the city. Next, visit the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, a spiritual center along the banks of the Bagmati River. From there, continue to Boudhanath, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, surrounded by monasteries and spinning prayer wheels. Finally, explore Patan Durbar Square, an ancient palace complex filled with exquisite art, architecture, and history. In the evening, return to your hotel for a peaceful night’s rest.
This morning, you will travel to Pokhara, either by a scenic 6–7 hour drive through the lush countryside or a short 30-minute flight. Upon arrival, you’ll check in to your hotel and have the rest of the day free to explore. A gentle boat ride on Phewa Lake is a perfect way to unwind, with views of the Annapurna mountains reflected on the water. You can also stroll along the lakeside promenade and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this charming city.
Rise early to catch the sunrise from Sarangkot, a viewpoint that offers breathtaking vistas of the snow-capped Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After breakfast, your Pokhara exploration continues with a visit to Davis Falls, a striking waterfall that disappears into a mysterious underground tunnel. Just across the road is Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, home to a sacred Shiva shrine. Later, head to the World Peace Pagoda for panoramic views of the city and lake below. Your day ends with a visit to the International Mountain Museum, which tells the story of Nepal’s mountaineering heritage. Adventurous travelers may also choose to add in activities like paragliding or zip-lining during the day. Return to your hotel in the evening for a final night in this tranquil city.
After breakfast, you'll make your way back to Kathmandu either by road or air, depending on your chosen travel option. If time allows, you can enjoy some last-minute shopping or a relaxing break at a café before being transferred to the airport for your onward journey. With memories of Nepal’s cultural treasures and natural wonders, your tour comes to a close.
